Nishtha Banerjee is a Calgary-based filmmaker, producer, director and visual storyteller who sees filmmaking as a beautiful intersection of imagination, creativity, and human connection. Her love for cinema has shaped a creative journey filled with new ideas, experiences, and opportunities to bring stories to life.

With a background in Broadcast Media Studies at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Nishtha has gained experience in documentary and narrative filmmaking, cinematography, production management, and post-production. She enjoys the creative process of bringing a film together, from developing an idea to finding the images, sounds, and moments that make each story come alive.

For Nishtha, some of the most rewarding experiences in filmmaking come from the people she meets and the relationships formed along the way. She believes everyone has something worth sharing and values the trust, openness, and generosity of those who welcome her into their lives and share their experiences.

As the founder of Nish Productions, Nishtha hopes to create films that celebrate people, honour their experiences, and bring communities together. She approaches her work with warmth, care, and a genuine appreciation for the relationships that grow through the filmmaking process.

Beyond the cameras and the finished films, it is the people, the friendships, the shared laughter, and the connections made along the way that give Nishtha's journey its greatest meaning.
